Staged Development Path

Home E Cornerstone Copper Project E Staged Development Path

Okopa’s development strategy is designed as a staged, capital-efficient pathway from exploration through early production to a larger-scale copper operation in Namibia’s Kaoko Copper Belt. The approach combines systematic exploration of Cornerstone Mining’s 6,214 ha licence portfolio with the progressive development of its own oxide mining operations in tandem with existing Mining Claims held by local Namibian individuals and companies. This provides a route to early small-scale oxide production and cash flow while generating geological and metallurgical information to support development of the broader licence areas and develop the deeper sulphide potential of the licenses.

Stage 1

Data Review & Target Definition

Consolidate and reinterpret existing geological, drilling and bulk-sampling data across the Cornerstone EPLs, with particular emphasis on identifying priority copper oxide targets and opportunities around the existing Mining Claims. Previous work includes approximately 1,974m of diamond drilling and a c.15,000-tonne bulk sample.

Stage 2

Mining Claims & Early Production

Work in partnership with local Mining Claim owners, who are shareholder of Cornerstone, to develop production on exiting claims for small-scale copper oxide mining and processing. This is intended to provide a pathway to near-term revenue and cash flow, while generating practical mining, processing and geological information, to develop Okopa’s own oxide production.

Stage 3

Resource Expansion & Exploration

Undertake targeted drilling and exploration across the wider EPL portfolio to expand oxide resources and test the broader and deeper mineralised systems. The objective is to move progressively from discrete near-surface opportunities toward definition of a materially larger copper resource.

Stage 4

Mining Licence & Consolidation

As the project advances sufficiently to support a Mining Licence application, the relevant Mining Claims are intended to be incorporated within the Mining Licence area, bringing the local claim-based operations and the wider Cornerstone resource into a more integrated development framework.

Stage 5

Larger-Scale Copper Development

Use the geological knowledge, operating experience and cash-flow base established through the earlier stages to evaluate and develop a larger, sustainable copper operation, potentially encompassing both oxide resources and deeper mineralisation across the wider licence package. Capital is intended to be deployed progressively against approved work programmes rather than committing the full development spend upfront.
