Our Strategy
Okopa’s strategy is to build a scalable copper production business in Namibia through the systematic exploration and development of Cornerstone’s extensive licence portfolio. In parallel, Cornerstone has development agreements with independent local Mining Claim holders, providing capital and technical expertise to bring near-surface oxide copper opportunities into production. Revenue from oxide production, together with Okopa’s existing royalty income, is intended to support ongoing exploration and the progressive development of the larger, higher-value sulphide resources, providing a pathway to sustainable, long-term copper production.
The strategy is centred on three main pillars:
- Near-Term Oxide Production – Evaluate and expand known copper oxide mineralisation to establish small-scale production and generate early revenues.
- Resource Definition at Depth – Undertake diamond drilling beneath known oxide occurrences to test the potential for larger sulphide copper mineralisation at depth.
- District-Scale Exploration – Conduct systematic exploration across the wider licence area to identify and prioritise additional copper targets and build the project pipeline.
